Blue green algae for ulcers?
Ulcerative colitis is a disease that causes inflammation and sores, called ulcers, in the lining of the rectum and colon. Ulcers form where inflammation has killed the cells that usually line the colon, then bleed and produce pus. Inflammation in the colon also causes the colon to empty frequently, causing diarrhea.

Highly preliminary evidence suggests that spirulina or other blue-green algae products may counter allergic reactions, such as hay fever and hives,18,19,39,40 help protect the liver from toxic chemicals, reduce blood pressure, and control symptoms of ulcerative colitis. Blue green algae has shown in lab tests to exert strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, which is useful for diseases like arthritis,lupus and ulcerative colitis.
